In the city of Osorno, specifically on Bulnes Street, The death of a young woman of approximately 23 years old was reported, in a case that is being treated as femicide by local authorities. The Deputy Prosecutor of Osorno, Narciso García González, provided some details about the ongoing investigation.
“During the night of Sunday, April 28, we were informed about a femicide in an apartment in the central sector of the city”, explained prosecutor García. According to preliminary information, the victim and the alleged perpetrator were a couple, although this information is still under confirmation.
The incident occurred in a one-room apartment, where the victim’s body was found, apparently with injuries caused by a knife. Currently, experts from the Criminalistics Brigade (Bicrim) of Puerto Montt are expected to arrive to carry out a more detailed analysis of the injuries and their number.
In addition, a person suspected of being the perpetrator of the crime has been arrested, who has not yet issued a statement. “We are in a very preliminary stage of the investigation, compiling the necessary background information to attribute responsibility”added the prosecutor.
The victim’s body will be transferred to the legal medical service for the autopsy and the corresponding scientific and technical reports.
