The Entre Ríos Tax Administrator (ATER) announced the first results of the first series of operations on the provincial nautical park, which showed that 41.5 percent of the vessels are in an irregular situation.

The data arises from inspections carried out by ATER in important nautical nurseries in Paraná, Gualeguaychú, Concordia and Concepción del Uruguay.

“Governor Rogelio Frigerio’s decision is that, on the one hand, ATER gets closer to citizens with more services, with effective solutions and facilities. And, on the other, that it deploys a better response capacity against the scourge of evasion, more even in the complex economic scenario,” contextualized the executive director, Jesús Korell.

Escape from the rich

“When we talk about irregularity we talk about evasion. That is, of people with proven contributory capacity who claim the right to be above the law and They choose not to register their ships so as not to pay the tribute. And with that we are not going to be flexible,” the official warned.

The data arises from the survey in eight of the 57 nautical nurseries registered in the province. The sample shows significant levels of informality: out of a total of 1,360 ships surveyed41 percent had irregularities regarding registration.

Furthermore, a large percentage of nautical nurseries was not up to date with his formal obligations, while they are information agents of the ships they guard.

“These results commit us to continue working in the rest of the daycare centers in the provincial territory, combating evasive practices and expanding the tax base by incorporating taxpayers who were not in the system,” Korell highlighted in this regard.
