The May 1 International Labor Day march will take place in Bucaramanga in the morning.

The meeting point is on Carrera 12 and Calle 36 in the heart of the city, at 8:30 am, where workers, labor unions and unions They met to travel on a route that will advance along Calle 36 to Carrera 27, take this road from south to north, and reach Los Niño Park.

“What we know is that people are going to come from different areas of the department, of the municipality of Sabana De Torres in the García Rovira region and municipalities near Bucaramanga to mobilize and concentrate. We aspire to have between 8,000 to 10,000 people mobilizing tomorrow. “We also hope that cobgresistas from the region participate in the mobilization,” said Oscar Estupiñan, from the Metropolitan Aqueduct union and member of the CUT Santander.

The union leader said that one of the reasons for the mobilization is support for the reforms proposed by the National Government.

“Obviously the mobilization for workers’ day, but at a current political moment because the National Government, led by the president, is also calling on the workers, the population to also mobilize tomorrow in defense of the National Government’s reforms. , the labor reform,” said Estupiñan.

The march will culminate with cultural events and musical groups.
