Golden Arrow executes important drilling campaign at San Pietro project in the Atacama Region

Tuesday, April 30, 2024.- The company Golden Arrow reported that it began a diamond drilling campaign of approximately 10,000 meters in the San Pietro iron-copper-gold-cobalt project, in the Atacama Region.

The objective of the 2024 campaign is to provide additional drilling data to facilitate the first mineral resource estimate for the project.

In this regard, Golden Arrow’s Vice President of Exploration and Development, Brian McEwen, stated that “we are excited to have the drilling rigs operating in San Pietro. Recent surface mapping and relogging of existing drill cores have allowed us to adjust the program and identify new targets. Everything is coming together in a very positive way. In addition, we have already established strong iron oxide, copper and gold mineralization,” he stated.

The executive added that “we are fully funded and have a resource delineation drilling program in place, at a time when copper and gold prices are reaching exciting highs supported by strong long-term forecasts. This could translate into great interest in San Pietro moving forward,” he detailed.

Notably, the 2023 drill program achieved significant new intercepts that expanded the mineralized zone, including 64.2 m averaging 0.86% copper, 0.20 g/t gold, 196 g/t cobalt and 26.9% iron. The first holes of this new campaign will complete a grid pattern to verify sufficient space to classify resources, as suggested by modeling work completed to date.

The San Pietro project includes 18,448 hectares of exploration concessions and is located approximately 100 kilometers north of Copiapó, in the Atacama Region.

According to preliminary studies, there is excellent mining infrastructure in the area, and the property is located west of Capstone Mining’s Santo Domingo mine development project and 10 km northeast of Mantos Copper’s Mantos Verde mine.
