Bogotá DC, April 30, 2024. The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), the General Maritime Directorate (DIMAR) and the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) inform the general public that, in response to the comments and observations presented by the Interested Parties in the First Round Colombia of Offshore Wind Energy, and the revisions announced in Addendum No. 1 of the Competitive Process Documents, we are analyzing the regulation of the process (Joint Resolutions MME and DIMAR Nos. 40284 of 2022 and 40712 of 2023) and the Documents of the Competitive Process.

The above, in order to strengthen the conditions of competition and participation in the Round. The topics under review mainly focus on the following:

  1. Technical and financial capacity requirements for the qualification phase.
  2. Requirements to obtain the maritime concession.
  3. Procedure for the Nomination of Areas.
  4. Modification of the holder of the temporary occupation permit and maritime concession.
  5. The form of the performance guarantees required during the Temporary Occupation Permit and the Maritime Concession.

We hope to announce clarifications, adjustments, changes and the final version of the Round Schedule in the coming weeks.
