With the aim of sharing experiences and advancing the development of collaborative work, authorities of the National Customs Service They received a delegation from the Hungarian Customs and its representation in Chili.

The Deputy Technical Director, Gabriela Landerosand the Deputy Director of Inspection, José Luis Castromet at the National Customs Directorate, in Valparaíso, with the President of the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary, Ferenc Vágujhelyiand the Ambassador of that country in Chile, Edit Bucsi-Szabó.

During the meeting, various topics related to the work of both institutions in charge of protecting the borders of their respective countries were discussed. The Hungarian delegation was especially interested in processes related to risk management and e-commerce.

Likewise, they also discussed the relevance of the exchange of information between institutions and work to confront the various forms of organized crime.

“These meetings with international authorities are essential to share experiences that allow us to strengthen our capabilities in risk management and the fight against organized crime, especially in a globalized context where e-commerce and the exchange of information play a crucial role,” highlighted the deputy technical director Gabriela Landeros.

“Working together with our international counterparts, such as Hungarian Customs, allows us to share good practices that can be very effective in terms of security and efficiency of our customs operations, thus ensuring the protection of our borders against emerging threats,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Department of International Affairs also participated in the work meeting, Andrea Ortiz; the Secretary General, Patricia Henriquezthe Hungarian Deputy Commissioner for Customs and International Affairs, Brigadier General Kristóf Péter Bakaiand the Director of Information, István Lakos Lambert.
