The governor of Corrientes, Gustavo Valdés, presided this Tuesday in the city of Goya a expanded cabinet meetingdeveloped at the Social Club headquarters, with the participation of all ministries, institutes and decentralized entities, as well as national and provincial legislators, and the mayors of the 17 municipalities of the Río Santa Lucía region along with their technical teams, among whom was the host communal chief, Mariano Hormaechea.

During the meeting, it was analyzed area by area, the advancement of public policies designed and implemented by the provincial government continuing with the management axes.

“The evaluation of public policies is crucial to guarantee both their effectiveness and efficiency, facilitating the necessary adjustments to improve results and optimize the use of resources, guaranteeing a positive impact on society,” said the first Leader. He thus highlighted the full presence of the provincial Cabinet and representatives of the decentralized organizations, thanking the provincial senators and deputies for their participation, along with the mayors of southern Corrientes.

Valdés thanked “for continuing to accompany us to continue working together and carrying out works,” while highlighting the work methodology developed, in which each area reviewed the actions they carry out, after which each minister had his intervention. and then the mayors and legislators began their rounds of questions.

Within the framework of the meeting, various topics were addressed, among them, the Ministry of Public Health reported the current epidemiological situation of Dengue; In Security, the works carried out and investments in both buildings and technological and mobile equipment were detailed. At the same time, in Science and Technology, innovation actions were presented, focusing on the productive development of Corrientes.

Conclusions

At the end of the meeting, the governor said: “We gave a snapshot of all areas: education, economy, public works, health, everything we have in the Cabinet,” which is why he did not hesitate to describe the meeting as positive. He said that these spaces are “to have a general round trip of the total problems that the Province and the municipalities have, where we were able to talk about many topics in depth, seeing how we can collaborate the Executive and Legislative Branches, and the provincial State with the municipal ones.”

He commented that one of the points that was addressed was the optimization of resources, which can occur in “joint work between the areas that are related, looking for solutions and putting on the table whether we have difficulties or not,” for a resolution.

Regarding Goya, “we are working with works on streets mainly, curbs, we continue with the waterfront which today is key for us to continue working based on that due to the Surubí Fishing contest, we reviewed the Hospital of Niño, the electrical part, transformers, repair of roads in rural areas, among others.”

And regarding the Surubí National Festival that begins this Wednesday, he hoped that “I hope the weather is good and that it will be good fishing.”

Finally, the President pointed out when asked by the press that “we maintain a good dialogue with the national government: in reality, more than dialogue what we need is a response,” he clarified, so “we are waiting for them to normalize the numbers, and to be able to give a response to the Province and society” he closed.
