Improvements announced in social programs in Santiago del Estero

In a conference that took place this Tuesday afternoon at Government House, which was headed by the Chief of Staff Elías Suárez, important announcements were made that will benefit those who have emergency plans. Likewise, there will be increases for school and community canteens, for those who receive the Social Card and also for those who have food programs.

The Minister of Education Mariela Nassif reported that school cafeterias will receive an increase of 140%, granted with provincial funds. This has been arranged for all school cafeterias in the province. The increases will be for both single-day and full-day schools.

Dr. Nassif specified that the benefit will be, per student, $49.92 per day and per student. As for full-day schools, the benefit that was previously 227.57 pesos will now be 546.16 pesos.

While the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Dr. Matilde O’Mill, announced a 50% increase for emergency plans. Payment will be made on May 20. Let us remember that this benefit is also granted with funds from the Province.

The announcements of increases, which are executed through different areas of the Provincial Cabinet, are granted with the objective of improving the situation of many Santiago residents, as indicated by Elías Suárez.

On the other hand, the Minister of Social Development, Ángel Niccolai, reported that food programs will have an increase of 50%. The Social Card will also receive the same increase and will begin to be paid from the month of May.
