Minutes after the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation approved the half-sanction of the “base law,” President Javier Milei came out to celebrate the achievement.

“This is a fundamental first step to get Argentina out of the swamp that has been the last few decades,” said the president in X.

And he added: “I want to thank the enormous task of all the Deputies who, understanding the historical moment, decided to accompany our project.”

Regarding that, Milei assured that it is increasingly likely that the “May pact” will be signed in Córdoba.

“With this first step we are getting closer to being able to meet on May 25 in La Docta, Córdoba, to begin a new era of prosperity for Argentina,” he said.

“As General San Martín said: ‘Let’s be free, the rest doesn’t matter at all.’ LONG LIVE FUCKING FREEDOM…!!!”, he closed.

But also, Milei published a letter in which he asked for prompt treatment in the National Senate.

“Argentines who live from their work, those who dedicate their efforts to study and progress, who long for a promising future for their descendants and future generations, await with expectation that the greatness seen today in the premises of the Honorable Chamber of Deputies be reproduced promptly in the Senate of the Nation,” he said in an official statement.

Milei stated that “the representatives of the provinces now have the historical responsibility of establishing a true federal regime that returns dignity and freedom to its people, guiding the country again towards the path of prosperity that will lead to the resurgence of the Argentine Republic as world power”.

The president recognized “the patriotic work” of the block leaders Cristian Ritondo, Miguel Angel Pichetto and Rodrigo De Loredo because “they have put aside all partisan differences in favor of the Nation.”

The head of state remarked that “the Argentine people require representatives willing to end the privileges of caste and the corporate republic.”

“The regency of those willing protectors of the status quo concluded on December 10,” the president said.

Milel stated that “it is time for those willing to put their effort into reinserting us into the path of greatness that one day led us to be a prosperous country.”

Caputo

Another who also spoke out about the half-sanction of the “base law” was the Minister of Economy of the Nation, Luis Caputo.

“Thanks to all our own and other legislators who, with responsibility, gave half a sanction to a law that is so important for Argentines,” he posted.
