Forest of the Constituents
The Constituents Forest is part of the city’s collective and environmental heritage and has enormous democratic and inclusive significance due to its unrestricted and free access.

It is the largest green space in the city on a regional scale. It has 280 hectares, 20 of them with public access. It is located in the northwest area of Rosario, it is crossed by the Ludueña stream and the Ibarlucea canal, allowing a flooding area for the stream, and providing a green lung as a buffer zone.

Bordered by the Ludueña stream, the forest invites you to a special encounter with nature. There are more than 40,000 trees of various species and a small artificial lagoon with aquatic plants, frogs and snails. There are also horses, llamas (which were taken to the forest when the old city zoo closed), turtles, ducks, geese, herons and other wild birds.

The plant species include: casuarina, cypress, poplar, ash, araucaria, acacia, banana, ceibo, willow, oak, ombú, sweetgum, mulberry, pecan, yatay, paradise, palo drunk, eucalyptus, aguaribay, elm, jacaranda, aroma and different species of palm trees (butiá, washingtonia, phoenix, pindó).

This vegetation provided shelter and food for a large number of birds. There are more than 120 species of birds, which represents 25% of the birds that live in the province of Santa Fe.
