The illusion is intact.
The players of the Deportivo Lucero honor series believe that they can make the big blow at the Fiscal stadium in Talca, where, this Saturday, at 7 p.m., they will define the passage to the next round of the Chile Cup, against Juvenil Seminario.
The Talquino team won the first leg, played at the Nelson Oyarzún stadium in Chillán, by 3 goals to 1, but in the defining match there is no goal difference.
“Regardless of the first result, we have to correct the errors and think that in the second leg there is no goal difference, so we are going to go look for the result. They have a good team and football, they transition the ball well, they move it from side to side, but this is won with goals and at the end of the game, we will see if we qualify,” said forward Miguel Cartes.
“Football is like that, they scored goals against us that were our mistakes. We are going to approach the rematch in a different way because we want to win the rematch,” analyzed defender Sergio Acuña.
Deportivo Lucero had the support of the municipality of Chillán, which provided the Nelson Oyarzún stadium for its historic debut in the Chile Cup, a venue that hosted more than 2,000 people last Monday, in the first leg.
“I saw with pleasure that many clubs came to support Lucero. Amateur football has a strong population roots, with great mystique and that is why we are generating infrastructure to continue giving it dignity. These events generate identity and we believe that Lucero will leave everything in Talca,” reflected the mayor of Chillán, Camilo Benavente.
“We are happy because all amateur football came to support Lucero and we have to have faith that Lucero can perform the miracle, I am sure it will be like that,” stressed Hernán Blasco, sports advisor of the Municipality of Chillán.
