An initiative called “Implementation of Free Fairs and Purchase of Awnings” was carried out by the Chen Yenú Koy Group of Coyhaique and financed thanks to the Emprendamos Grupal Self-managed program of the Solidarity and Social Investment Fund, FOSIS.

The resources given to the organization made it possible to finance the acquisition of awnings, tables, chairs, tablecloths, trunks, oven, microphone, speaker, projector, notebook, printer, pigeons, mini banners, parades and supplies; along with accounting training, aimed at the members of the group.

Thanks to the financing of this initiative and the collaboration of the Municipality of Coyhaique, the Entrepreneurial Fair was held on Paseo Horn, where 30 exhibitors from the group, for three days, marketed products such as wool crafts, wood, fabrics, felt, plants. , jams, honey, silverware, recycled clothing and toys, among others.

Claudia Muñoz, president of the Chen Yenú Koy Group, highlighted that they won the project for their members and generated resources for the organization and presented the complete equipment at the Entrepreneurial Fair.

“We are very happy for having made this great effort, we have been there for a short time and we have been able to do so much. Grateful to FOSIS and the board for being able to work as a team,” said Claudia Muñoz.

The regional director of FOSIS in Aysén, Fernanda Leiva, assured that the group of entrepreneurs was working to buy and supply their members with clothing and implements to unify their image and look for spaces to market their products.

Gabriela Retamal, representative of the Municipality of Coyhaique, commented that together with FOSIS they made a strategic alliance for the benefit of entrepreneurs, particularly with this group.

“The idea is that they continue to occupy spaces so that their associates can continue marketing artisanal products. As a Municipality we ratify our commitment to them and we have our doors open through the Department of Local Economic Development,” he stated.

The Emprendamos Grupal Self-managed program allows productive organizations to develop economic activities and improve the production conditions of their businesses, strengthening personal and organizational capabilities, ties of association and access to networks; in order to increase their income and promote their economic autonomy.
