The commitment, assumed between Cippa and the Veterinary Medical College, is to train and provide technical assistance to slaughterhouses and slaughter establishments.

In order to strengthen food health controls, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Provincial Entry Control of Food Products (Cippa) – dependent on the Secretariat of Production and Industry – and the Neuquén Veterinary Medical College. Both entities committed to developing training programs for staff and the community in general, addressing aspects related to the implementation of laws, good practices in health control and traceability of food products.

“This agreement represents a significant step in strengthening health control policies in the province of Neuquén, reaffirming the commitment of both institutions to public health and animal welfare,” said Andrés Piotti López, the head of Cippa. “With the Veterinary Medical College we are also working on the implementation of the Porcine Trichinosis Control and Surveillance Program that was presented in April and has a projection until 2027,” he added.

Regarding technical assistance to Slaughterhouses and Slaughter Establishments, the commitment was established to assist these establishments located in various locations in the Province, guaranteeing compliance with the hygienic-sanitary requirements established in current regulations.
