According to the information provided by the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police, the two captured subjects, who were identified with the aliases of ‘Pedro’, 25 years old, and ‘Edinson’, 36 years old, were recognized ‘motothieves’ who came generating anxiety and fear in the metropolitan area.

The captures of these subjects were carried out on Carrera 17A and Calle 58 in the Ricaurte neighborhood in Bucaramanga. When a registration, control and verification search was requested, a firearm was found on them.

It was a 38 caliber revolver with 11 cartridges for it, without documents for its possession, for which they were prosecuted for the crime of carrying, trafficking or manufacturing firearms.

But, in addition, they were traveling on a motorcycle that, when registered in the Mebuc Police Sijin system, verified that it had been reported stolen.

“It is worth mentioning that, based on information collected, these recurring criminal actors are accused of being the ones who commit criminal activities in Bucaramanga and its surroundings,” said the Mebuc Police.

The two ‘motothieves’ were placed at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office for the crimes of carrying, trafficking or manufacturing firearms, receiving and falsifying trademarks. The subjects will be presented before a Guarantee Control Judge waiting for security measures to be issued.

“The community is reiterated that, if they recognize them and have been affected by these criminals, they should approach the Sijin or the Prosecutor’s Office to report them,” the authorities recalled.
