This Friday, May 3, after noon, the Hydrology area of ​​the Mixed Technical Commission of Salto Grande issued a report in which it announces what will happen to the Uruguay River in the next few hours.

As reported, “until the 15th hour of tomorrow (Saturday), the evacuated flow will vary between 16,500 and 17,500 cubic meters per second.” With this contribution, the maximum levels in the ports of Concordia and Salto (Uruguay) will not exceed the values ​​of 11.30 and 11.50 meters, respectively.

In addition, they detailed that next Monday 12 meters could be reached, probably continuing the upward trend during the rest of the week in the city of Entre Ríos. The reservoir, meanwhile, will reach 31 meters.

The alert level in Concordia is 11 meters in front of the city’s port. While at 12.50 meters it reaches the evacuation level, forcing citizens to leave their homes.

Towards the north, in locations closer to the border with Brazil, some cities are suffering from the flood. In El Soberbio, Misiones, the Emergency Committee was activated to evacuate the inhabitants and in 12 hours the river passed from 5 to 15 meters in front of the city port.
