A prosecutor assigned to the Casanare Section prosecuted a man and a woman for their alleged participation in the kidnapping of a citizen in Casanare.
The kidnapping took place on November 14, 2023 on a farm located in the rural area of Hato Corozal, where the victim was stripped of his belongings and taken to an unknown location by six people, apparently including those currently being prosecuted, who would be part of the case. of the criminal group ‘Los del Norte’.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, after a demand of 800 million pesos in exchange for not attacking the woman, the family managed to pay 110 million to the kidnappers. The victim was released on November 20 in Paz de Ariporo.
The captures materialized in Villavicencio and Bogotá, by the Gaula Casanare. The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with the crimes of extortionate kidnapping and qualified theft, charges that were not accepted by the defendants.
The judge imposed a prison security measure against the man and house arrest for the captured woman.
