They dismantle a network of illegal logging of trees in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Corpamag leads the operation showing conclusive results.
In the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a coordinated operation was carried out between the Magdalena Regional Autonomous Corporation (CORPAMAG), the National Police, the National Army and SECAR-MESAN, this was deployed in the Vereda Nueva Unión, Corregimiento de Siberia, Municipality of Ciénaga. During the operation, a total of 10,500 cubic meters of wood was seized, coming from various species native to the region. Among these species are the Oak, the Sambocedro and the Caracolí, trees that play a fundamental role in the local ecosystem.
