One of the most anticipated events for film lovers is without a doubt the International Film Festivalof which, this year, San Luis Potosí will host its 75th anniversary, with the main stage being the Alameda Cinemathequewhere feature films from different parts of the world will be screened from May 9 to 22.
The best selection of films from different countries will be screened in the hall of this legendary venue, which joins the National Cinematheque to have this important showcase for films from independent auteur cinema or that do not have mass distribution, but mostly become a good production.
For this year they will be projecting 14 productions from different countries such as Argentina, Germany, Belgium, South Korea, Chile, Spain, United States, France, Italy, Israel, Ukraine, Portugal, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Pakistan, Norway and Mexico.
The latter will be represented by the ribbon “Valentina or serenity”a feature film directed by director Ángeles Cruz, second film by the Oaxacan filmmaker, where she reflects the grief, loss and resilience experienced in the childhood of her community.
It should be noted that the 75th edition of the International Film Festival was already presented in Mexico City, having a great response from film buffs in the country’s capital, who visited the different theaters where it was screened.
