He Governor of MendozaAlfredo Cornejo, announced this afternoon the presentation of an environmental impact report of the mining district Western Malargüewhich consists of information additional to that required by law.
In the study “Glaciers, wetlands, flora, fauna, landscape, archaeology, paleontology, stalls, native peoples, among others, have been surveyed. demonstrating that mining activity can be carried out without negatively affecting the environment.”
And I add: “We worked together with Irrigation, the municipality of Malargüe and various scientific and technical entities to establish a complete environmental baseline for the region.”
“The Malargüe Occidental mining district respects current regulations, has enormous geological potential, environmental conditions, territorial vocation, a service sector ready to work and a broad social license.”
“This study marks a historical milestone for our province, by offering an exhaustive and detailed analysis unprecedented in this activity, raising the level of environmental study for future projects,” Cornejo wrote on his social networks.
“The depth and precision that we achieved by incorporating additional information to that required by law and covering all existing aspects, has not only generated trust within the local community, but has also sparked growing interest among investors to work in Malargüe” .
