International Meeting of Psychology Students Begins in Cuba • Workers

More than a thousand participants from 26 countries assured their attendance at the event, which concludes next Friday and will be held in person and virtually under the motto “Connection, Science, Culture.”

Experts, professors and students from Argentina, Barbados, Bahrain, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba and Ecuador will be present at the planned keynote conferences, commissions and workshops, according to what the organizers informed Prensa Latina.

There will also be professionals and representatives from related areas from El Salvador, Spain, the United States, France, Haiti, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Russia, Sweden and Uruguay.

Throughout the week, presentations, community fairs, cultural and recreational exchanges will be held at different venues, including the Varona building of the University of Havana, the Bertolt Brecht Cultural Center and the La Giraldilla ranch.

The scientific program includes debates about gender studies; psychomanagerialtology; cyberpsychology; neuropsychology; environmental psychology; sports psychology; human health and well-being; couple and sexuality; social, community and political psychology; as well as education, subjectivity and human development.

Several doctors will give keynote lectures, including Apollinaria Chursina (Russia), Clara Verney (Colombia), Francisco Herrera Triguero (Spain), Antonio Puente (United States) and the Cubans Claudia Caballero, Jany Bárcenas, Patricia Arés and Manuel Calvinño.
