Workers pharmacists and biochemicals closed the joint negotiation for the second quarter of this year, and the salary floor of the activity will be above $1.5 million in June.
The Argentine Union of Pharmacists and Biochemicals (SAFYB) explained that the increase impacts exclusively on workers included in the collective bargaining agreements signed in 2014, 2015 and 2022, who will receive a salary floor of $1,275,000 in April, $1,400,000 in May and $1,550,000 in June 2024.
Criticism of the Government
On the other hand, the head of the union, Marcelo Peretta, questioned the Government for “losing the opportunity for a true labor reform that simplifies registration, modernizes collective agreements, reduces the tax burden and recovers the culture of effort.”
“The half sanction of Deputies (to the Bases Law) does not generate employment. The removal of fines for employers with black workers, the lengthening of the trial period for interesting people and the figure of the collaborating worker are not a reform, but rather a stimulus to labor fraud,” the union member complained.
However, Peretta anticipated that this sector does not adhere to the 24-hour strike ordered by the CGT for this Thursday. “We are going to continue meeting with legislators to achieve a true modernization of work,” he emphasized.
