Tonight, the Automotive Tram Union (UTA) confirmed through an official statement that it will join the general strike next Thursday, May 9, the day on which it will not provide services, from 00:00 to midnight.
“We inform that as a consequence of the measures of the National Government taken directly against the working people, and openly aimed at violating basic individual rights, the Unión Tranviarios Automotor joins the claim of the entire society, and adheres to the measure ordered by the CGT ”, detailed the publication they made.
Along the same lines they continued and pointed against the government: “We ask the authorities who have in their hands the decisions that are affecting the lives of the vast majority of the People, to reflect and understand the scope of the mandate that was granted to the Executive powers. and Legislative, and that based on this and compliance with the National Constitution, they act accordingly, in defense of the interests and well-being of all Argentines.”
The Salta section of the union confirmed its adherence to the force measure, so there will be no buses in Salta on Thursday either.
Within transportation, the train and aeronautical unions also confirmed that they will participate in the strike, so there will be no train trips or flights.
