In the meeting that took place in the boardroom of the Hurtado Headquarters, the rector of the UPC, Robert Romero, also asked the director of the SAE to donate some vehicles for the purpose of implementing the university corridors.
Important announcements for the university community were made by the general director of the Sociedad de Activos Especiales SAE, Daniel Rojas Medellín, in a meeting held with the rector of the Popular University of Cesar, Rober Romero Ramírez and members of the work teams of these two entities.
The SAE will deliver to the Alma Mater several buildings that will serve to expand coverage and strengthen the laboratories of the Faculties of Administrative, Accounting and Economic Sciences; and Law, Political and Social Sciences.
In the meeting that took place in the board room of the Hurtado Headquarters, the rector asked the director of the SAE to donate some vehicles with the purpose of implementing the university corridors, which will allow the university to provide him with the opportunity young people from the townships to access higher education without uprooting themselves from the territories.
For his part, the director of the SAE Daniel Rojas Medellín, who was receptive to the proposal, said he will make the necessary arrangements for the UPC to have these vehicles. He also said that: “Through these deliveries, the SAE remains committed to strengthening the popular mandate of President Gustavo Petro, focused on the comprehensive well-being of the different communities of the territories, by making these assets available to public education. “Previously they were used for illicit purposes.”
Also participating in the meeting were the deans of the Faculties of Administrative, Accounting and Economic Sciences, Ana Milena Maya González; and Law, Political and Social Sciences, Ema Molina Roys; the representative of the president before the Higher University Council, Felicia Bracho and the teachers Guillermo Echavarría.
