A forum about economic reactivation from the regions It is one of the main events of the National Meeting of Governors and Mayors of capital cities of the country, which will be held in Pereira between next Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9.

The host of the meeting will be the governor of Risaralda, Juan Diego Patiño Ochoa, in his capacity as vice president of the National Federation of Departments.

“This event seeks, from decentralization, to contribute from the public and private to the economic development of the country. With the low construction rate that occurs at the national level, it is necessary to generate a public and private synergy that allows generating employment in all regions”, Patiño stated about the objectives of the event.

The Governor commented that representatives from key sectors such as housing, infrastructure, tourism and agribusiness will participate in the meeting.

The forum, which was called ‘Promoting development from the regions’ and will take place at the Sonesta hotel in Pereira, will seek to identify viable strategies to promote strategic projects in each department.

On the other hand, President Gustavo Petro will be in Pereira this Thursday at the Government Meeting with the popular neighborhoods. The event will take place at the Barrio Cuba Coliseum, starting at 4:00 pm
