Franf Garzón, executive president of the San José del Guaviare Chamber of Commerce, provided details about the conclusions of the meeting held with the mayors, business representatives and other entities that are part of the Guaviare Regional Block, who met based on evaluate the actions and cases that have occurred in recent days that have threatened the safety of merchants and the community.
The SOS call was made by the merchants’ union and the Guaviare regional bloc when pointing out the negative impact that these cases have caused on the economy in sectors such as tourism and commerce in the department.
All this forced the bloc to meet to evaluate the cases and, incidentally, agree on the preparation of a document that will be socialized on May 15, when the bloc will meet again to agree to present the document to the National Government requesting the Ministries. of Defense and the Interior requesting greater support in matters of security.
