The Entre Ríos government offered a new raise to teachers – El Día de Gualeguaychú

The Government of Entre Ríos offered a new salary increase to teachers within the framework of the parity. It will be 5% for April, 6% for May and 7% for June. On Friday the Agmer congress will be held to define whether the proposal is accepted.

In a new joint meeting, the government offered the teaching unions 5% for April (of which 3 have already been liquidated), 6% for May and 7% for June.

In addition, it was proposed that once the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the month of June is known, a joint hearing date be set in order to agree on the form and terms in which the teaching salary will be updated and close the first semester of 2024.

The third point proposed by the government is associated with the calculation basis for teacher salaries. For the settlement of salaries, the proposal is in the month of July to take the month of June as a base.

In relation to this last item, we continue to focus on strengthening the basis for calculating teacher salaries, as has been carried out since the current provincial administration began.

The meeting was chaired by the director of Labor, Juan Pablo Irurueta. The president of the CGE Alicia Fregonese participated for the government.

The general secretary of the Entre Ríos Teachers’ Union Association (Agmer), Marcelo Pagani, participated on behalf of the workers; the deputy secretary of the Association of Technical Teaching Teachers (AMET), Carlos José Varela; the general secretary of the Argentine Union of Private Teachers (Sadop), Alejandra Frank, and the deputy secretary of the Union of Argentine Teachers (UDA) Entre Ríos, César Schlotthauer.
