With a double function in Tucumán and Rosario de la Frontera (Salta), the Stable Ballet of the Province, led by Mtra. Melisa D’Amato, will present this weekend “Paquita”, by Marius Petipa with music by Ludwig Minkus, and “Los Amores de Lola”, a choreographic creation by D’Amato, within the framework of the 65th Anniversary of the Ballet and in the Month of Dance. In the province, the performance will take place this Friday the 10th at 9pm at the San Martín Theater (Av. Sarmiento 601), with a general admission of $3,000.

On the other hand, the stable company will perform on Sunday the 12th at the Güemes Theater in Rosario de la Frontera (Salta), invited by the Municipality of that town, under the organization of the Cultural Entity of Tucumán; as part of a series of joint activities that are based on strengthening relations between the provinces of the Northwest, as well as the decentralization of culture with visits to cities in the interior of the country.

On both occasions, the program will be composed of two classical and modern ballet works respectively. In this case, “Los Amores de Lola” will be revived, recently released in tribute to the Tucumán sculptor Lola Mora, with music by Hania Rani and choreography by D’amato.

The work seeks to enter Lola’s intimacy with sensitivity and emotion, through beautiful images and the reconstruction of important passages in the life of Dolores Mora, who stood out in spaces generally forbidden to women of her time.

Based on his biography between (1866-1936), the work recounts his experiences, his closest ties and his fight against the prejudices and conservatism of the time. The representation of the great loves of Lola’s life, which helped manifest her work and become the most flattered and discussed Argentine sculptor in recent years. Her bond with her parents, whom she loved deeply, her teacher, and of course the “Marble” where she perpetuates not only her work, but also her fighting spirit.

It is divided into four scenes: The Family (Pía Álvarez, Gastón Gutiérrez, Daniela Reyes); The Marble (María José Frigeri, Andrea Dilascio, Oriana Oldani, María José Díaz Gómez, Fiona Viscido, Candela Soto, Rodrigo Reinoso, Ricardo Contreras, Franco Ríos, Emiliano Núñez Campero); The Maestro (Oscar Medina – Accompanying the teacher: Maximiliano Díaz – The Ladies: Victoria Maizano, Camila Paoloni, Sabrina Fresco, Solana Burgos – Gentlemen: Facundo Basso, Salvador Arbeloa); and The End (all).

The revival of “Paquita” is by Karina Macías and Verónica Abdenur; The general direction corresponds to Melisa D’Amato. The assistant director teacher is Karina Macías.

This is a classic ballet that stands out for its elegance and grace that permeate even the most complex technical difficulties; It is divided into two acts, which recreate the Spain of the Napoleonic invasion, in the city of Zaragoza. The protagonist is Paquita, a young gypsy.

María Belén Serrano and Oscar Medina dance in Pas de Deux; in Pas de Troix: Solana Burgos, Valeria Hurtado, and Maximiliano Díaz. The soloists are Victoria Maisano, María Pía Álvarez Rojo, Fionna Viscido and Cadela Victoria Soto. The dance team is made up of Oriana Oldani Getar, María José Diez Gómez, Andrea Dilascio, Camila Paoloni, Fion Viscido, Solana Burgos, Victoria Maisano, Pía Álvarez Rojo, Valeria Hurtado, Candela Victoria Soto.
