The President of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Numan Kurtulmuş, arrived in Cuba in the early hours of this May 8 to make an official visit, in response to an invitation issued by his counterpart Esteban Lazo Hernández.
Upon his arrival at the “José Martí” international airport in Havana, he was received by Ana María Mari Machado, vice president of the National Assembly of People’s Power and the Council of State.
During his stay in our country at the head of a parliamentary delegation from the Eurasian nation; The distinguished visitor will be received at the National Capitol by his Cuban counterpart, will hold conversations with other authorities and will tour places of historical and cultural interest, among other activities.
Also present at the reception ceremony at the air terminal were member of the Council of State Yury Valdés Balbín, president of the Cuba-Türkiye Parliamentary Friendship Group; Jesús Rafael Mora González, director of International Relations of the Cuban legislature; Jorge Luis Alfonzo Ramos, deputy director of Europe and Canada at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Vehbi Esgel Etensel, ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Havana.
The delegation of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye is also made up of deputies Murat Emir; Filiz Kilic; Selman Özboyaci, president of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba; and Ahmet Gökhan Sariçam; among other directors and officials of the legislative body.
