This Wednesday the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the UNL will honor Professor Julio de Olazabal in life, a prestigious professor at the house of higher studies and a fundamental actor in the design and implementation of the new Criminal Procedure System that governs the province of Santa Fe for ten years now. The activity is scheduled for this Wednesday, May 8, at 4:30 p.m., at the Board of Directors of the FCJS of the UNL, at Cándido Pujato 2751, first floor.

With almost five decades in activity, he joined the teaching staff in 1976, as a first assistant in the subject Criminal Law II, of which he is currently the holder by competition (special part), along with the subject Criminal Law I (general part ).

De Olazabal directed research and extension projects; and published a dozen of his own and co-authored books; and he was vice dean of the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the UNL, in the period 1998-2001.

In 1992 he was part, along with doctors Victor Corbalan, Ramon Teodoro Rios and Jorge Vazquez Rossi, of the technical commission that prepared a project to reform the criminal procedure code. This draft is an indisputable antecedent of the reform implemented in 2014, these authors having earned the title of ideologues of the reform.
