Through his account on X, Governor Claudio Orrego explained the consequences that the intense rain has generated in the Metropolitan Region: “There are 30 traffic light outages in various communities, more than 230 thousand homes without electricity and snow in the eastern sector of Santiago”. Along the same lines, the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuel (SEC) published a report that clarifies the panorama throughout the country.
As of 7:58 p.m., the agency assures that there are 340,640 customers without electricity supply in Chile. In addition to the Metropolitan, the regions of Coquimbo and Valparaíso have presented a large number of claims. Here, the official figure of the most affected areas, until the time of publication:
