Assembly invites the Forum “Development Plan for a Huila Grande”

Experts and leaders will meet to outline concrete strategies that promote regional development.

Next Thursday, May 9, the Huila Assembly will hold the forum “Development Plan for a Great Huila: Perspectives and Projections.” This meeting, which will take place in the Auditorium of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Neiva headquarters, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, will bring together prominent panelists and representatives of the public and private sectors in a crucial dialogue on the destiny of Huila in the coming years.

The main objective of this forum is to analyze in detail the Departmental Development Plan, a roadmap that will mark the course of Huila in the current four-year period. According to the words of deputy Sergio Trujillo, president of the Development, Productivity, Planning and Environment Plan Commission, this plan represents “the opportunity to transform our land into a more prosperous, sustainable and equitable place.” More than a mere analysis of a document, the forum seeks to articulate efforts with the unions to advance as a region.

The event will focus on two fundamental pillars: the Alliance for Economic Development and Regionalization, and the Alliance for a more Productive and Sustainable Rural Huila. Renowned panelists such as Camilo Lozano, Secretary of Planning of Huila; Lina Carrera, director of the Huila Chamber of Commerce; and Carlos Alberto Cuéllar Medina, Secretary of Agriculture, among others, will share their perspectives and projections on the potential impact of these strategies on the different productive sectors of the department.

It is crucial to highlight that this forum is not only a space for reflection, but a true opportunity to collectively build the Huila that we all long for. The active participation of civil society and the commitment of the authorities are fundamental elements to guarantee the effective implementation of the Departmental Development Plan and thus ensure a more promising future for all the inhabitants of Huila.

This call to action invites all citizens to join the dialogue and collaboration between the public and private sectors, in order to promote the economic development of the region. Entry to the forum is free until capacity is reached.
