The new edition of Jeep’s midsize SUV (sports utility) received changes for next year. The main novelties involve a reconfiguration of the range, where the Trailhawk variant with the turbo diesel engine and 4×4 traction is no longer offered.
Thus, the Compass is now sold only in the Sport, Longitude, Longitude Sport, Limited and S Series variants. All of these versions have the same engine under the hood. We are talking about the 1.3 turbo gasoline with 175 HP and 270 Nm. It is combined with the six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
All of the variants currently offered come with some exterior tweaks, including the new front grille, also with the characteristic seven slots; It accompanies the optics and the bumper with its already known lines.
There are also new designs for alloy wheels. Depending on the version, the Compass has 17, 18 or 19-inch wheels. The rest of the aesthetics were unchanged from the previous range.
In terms of safety, it now offers: six airbags, two front, two side, two curtain, and also one for the driver’s knees starting with the Limited version. The range incorporates the following active driving assistance (ADAS) such as blind spot detection and cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, traffic sign detector, lane keep assist and pre-collision assistant.
The Jeep Compass has prices of $37,120,000 (Sport), $45,388,000 (Longitude), $46,476,000 (Longitude Plus), $47,238,000 (Limited) and $48,218,000 (S Series).
