The provincial director for the Prevention and Eradication of Child Labor and Protection of Adolescent Labor, Cecilia Otiñano, met with the president of the CPE, Glenda Temi, with the aim of articulating joint measures to address the problem of child and adolescent labor. protected.

At the meeting it was agreed to advance a collaboration agreement to share information regarding the educational trajectories of girls, boys and adolescents who may be in a work situation.

At the end of the meeting, Otiñano highlighted “we understand that the link with the educational system is essential to be able to address the problem of unprotected child and adolescent labor,” and added that there was agreement on “the need to monitor the school careers of those cases detected.” in a work situation and develop joint strategies for school reintegration” he concluded.

On the other hand, they resolved to carry out awareness and prevention sessions aimed at students and teachers, with the purpose of incorporating the problem into the curricula.

Likewise, within the points discussed, inter-institutional approaches will be carried out to accompany the processes of inclusion, reintegration and permanence in the educational system.
