The Magdalena Family Compensation Fund, Cajamag, under the direction of Dr. Martha García Valencia, joins the XXI Colombian Congress of History, which takes place in the city of Ibagué, from May 6 to 10, 2024.
The Congress aims to strengthen the national community of historians, promote the teaching of history at undergraduate and graduate levels, and disseminate the results of historical research carried out in academic institutions and research centers.
On this occasion, Cajamag presents volumes VI, VII and VIII of the Tertulia Samaria collection, a project started in 2015 with the intention of commemorating the 500 years of the city of Santa Marta.
This valuable collection, made up of 10 volumes, compiles the history of the province of Santa Marta, under the direction of sociologist Edgar Rey Sining.
The presentation of these books will be led by leading experts in the field, including the anthropologist and master’s degree Raíza Llinás, Addy Martínez de Llanos, Head of Social Services at Cajamag, the historian Adriano Guerra, the master’s degree in history Laura Carbonó López and Edgar King Sinning.
