The national strike called by the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) throughout the Republic for this Thursday, May 9, will also impact the province of Tierra del Fuego, where various public organizations and services will not provide their usual attention.

From the Municipality of Ushuaia it was reported that “due to reasons of force majeure” there will be no attention to the public in the municipal offices. At the same time, there will be no bus transportation provided by the UISE.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Río Grande will guarantee the provision of essential services with guards, however there will also be no public service in municipal offices. The shifts assigned in the health area will be duly rescheduled.

The bus service will not be provided by City Bus either, the service will resume normally on Friday, May 10, first thing in the morning.

The Provincial Institute of Housing and Habitat (IPVyH) reported that service will be reduced in all offices in the province, on Friday the 10th service will be completely normal.
