The victim identified as Hermides Céspedes Andrade, 61, was working on a property in the El Tejar neighborhood when an armed individual murdered him.

When he was preparing to start daily work on his property located in the upper part of the El Tejar village, the Timanense farmer Hermides Céspedes Andrade was murdered.
Preliminary versions indicate that the man arrived like every day to carry out milking work when suddenly an individual was waiting for him at the entrance to the property and fired several shots at him, immediately killing him.
The police and judicial authorities arrived at the scene to inspect and remove the body, which was transferred to the morgue of the Colombian Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences for the corresponding procedure.
Sources close to the farmer’s family stated that he did not have any type of threat that would put his integrity at risk, however, the authorities announced the start of an investigation to clarify what happened.
