This support ensures the continuity of air quality monitoring, being carried out since 2021 in association with Breathe2Change.

The funding comes from the Under2 program of The Climate Group, a coalition of subnational governments committed to the Paris Agreement to combat climate change. This link was facilitated by the joint management of the Undersecretariat and Breathe2Change.

The agreement with Under2 seeks to strengthen the implementation of the first Air Quality Monitoring Network in Tucumán, in collaboration with the INQUINOA-CONICET-UNT Atmospheric Studies Laboratory.

Based on this project, more than 20 air quality sensors have been installed throughout the province, providing data on its quality and the sources of polluting emissions in the region, which are fundamental for the design of public policies aimed at to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Tucumán.
