On Sunday, a new twist was presented in the complaint against the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Israel Huaytari for alleged legitimation of illicit profits, after the Interdisciplinary Solutions Group (GIS SRL) issued a statement stating that it purchased a 7D cinema equipment from the assembly member for the sum of Bs 83,770.56.
“A media outlet (EL DEBER) published that GIS SRL deposited the sum of Bs 89 thousand into the accounts of the Huaytari Sánchez family. It is worth clarifying to the public that the company bought a 7D cinema equipment from Mr. Israel Huaytari Martínez, for the sum of Bs 83,770.56, that being only the relationship with the aforementioned man.”
In addition, he adds that “if necessary, the company is fully willing to present the relevant documentation to the legal entities that require it” and warns that GIS SRL is managed “within the framework of ethics, transparency and legality, ratifying its commitment to full work in compliance with our business mission.”
A report of the Financial Investigations Unit (UIF) points out that between 2020 and 2022 Huaytari he would have received Bs 1.5 million in joint accounts with his wife. The president of Deputies denied the fact.
According to the documents accessed by EL DEBER, GIS SRL, based in Santa Cruz, deposited Bs 89,000 into the accounts of the Huaytari-Sanchez familythe company now says that the payment did not reach Bs 84,000 and it was later discovered that they received a little more than Bs 1.4 million in 193 bank deposits in their accounts, making a total of Bs 1.5 million

In January of this year the UIF sent a report to the Prosecutor’s Office to initiate an investigation against four families, one of them is that of Israel Huaytari and the entity warned about acts of corruption.
