For the first time in the country arrives Illuminate Festival and together with himto the Young Philharmonic of Colombia to contribute to the environment through music.

The festival runs from this Friday, May 17 to May 18 and the chosen stage was La Palma & El Toucana sustainable coffee farm in the municipality of Zipacón, Cundinamarca, where artists will perform their musicfor farmers, coffee growers and their families.

The artists on stage, among whom are 12 musicians from the Young Philharmonic and four prominent artists: the Americans Jennifer Frautschi (Violin) and Jennifer Stumm (Viola), and the Brazilians Bruno Lima (Cello) and Uiler Moreira (Violin); They present a program called “Leyendas” that includes works by Gabriela Lena Frank, Eric Whitacre, Béla Bartók, Simón Díaz and Antonín Dvořák, among others.

The first concert that will be Friday May 17 It will be on this farm at 5 in the afternoon. There, in addition to enjoying the music, the artists and the workers They will also be able to exchange knowledge with the local community.

The second concert will be Saturday, May 18 in Bogotá. The concert will take place at 5 p.m. at the Fabio Lozano Auditorium of the Jorge Tadeo Lozano Universitywith which one seeks raise funds for planting trees in the Niebla Forest in Zipacón as part of compensation actions to mitigate the carbon footprint.

“This ecosystem that we have just two hours from Bogotá and that needs us to continue strengthening and recovering and to have our water sources better cared for and more responsible,” indicated Juan Andrés Rojas, executive director of the Young Philharmonic of Colombia.
