The driver who managed to escape alive from a violent accident on the Ibagué – Cajamarca road He died due to the severity of his injuries in a healthcare center.
This person was driving a tractor-trailer headed to Bogotá and crashed seriously, apparently due to a loss of brakes.
The heavy-duty vehicle caught fire and the driver was rushed to the Cajamarca Hospital and then to the Federico Lleras Hospital in Ibagué.
“Around 10:00 p.m. this Monday, a patient was admitted to the emergency department of the Federico Lleras Acosta Hospital due to a traffic accident as a tractor-trailer driver,” the hospital reported.
According to the hospital center, the patient was admitted with second degree burns on 24% of his bodymultiple traumas, including a craniocerebral trauma, and a regular general condition.
“He was given timely resuscitation care, but he died around 12:55 in the morning on Tuesday, May 21, despite resuscitation maneuvers by our specialists“said the healthcare center.
And he concluded: “The Federico Lleras Acosta Hospital regrets his death and extends a greeting of solidarity to his family and friends.”
