Norma Salinas commented that on May 25, a special event organized by the San Antonio Oeste Retirement Center in conjunction with the municipality will take place. This event, which will begin at 2 p.m. in front of the Retirement Center on Pellegrini Street, promises to be a patriotic celebration full of activities and shows for the entire community.

“Although it was a proposal from the retirement center to do this national pericón with the different groups that accepted the proposal, so we are involved in that, we have shared the tasks with the municipality and the COMSAL neighborhood council,” commented Salinas in SIGNOS. FM. The event will begin with the arrival of the ceremonial flags and the singing of the national anthem, followed by various artistic presentations.
Among the artists confirmed for the event are Clave de Sol, Leo Mas, and the duo Mariela Migone and Hernán Vilalta among others. In addition, various folklore groups will present traditional dances, creating a festive and cultural atmosphere. “We are going to do our best so that everything turns out beautifully,” said Salinas.
The event will also have the collaboration of Silvina Chibli and Ramón Ortiz, who will be in charge of preparing the fried cakes, which will be distributed with cooked mate and cascarilla, ensuring that all attendees enjoy the traditional Argentine delicacies.
Salinas expressed his gratitude for the support received from the community and highlighted the growing membership of the Retiree Center. «From February until now we have taken stock and we have around seventy new members, including active and protective ones. Today, we have around four hundred members,” she mentioned proudly.
In addition to hosting events, the Retirement Center offers a variety of services and workshops running Monday to Friday, including hairdressing, pedicures and massages. «We could be calmly at home, taking care of grandchildren, but we feel that we have to be here. Our work is supportive, we do it out of love for our neighbor,” said Salinas.
The commitment and dedication of the members of the Retirement Center have allowed it to become an important pillar for the community of San Antonio Oeste, promoting active participation and solidarity among its members.
“All those who want to work with good will, respecting each other, with humility and accepting differences, are welcome,” concluded Salinas, inviting the entire community to join this celebration of National Day.
