REGIONAL GOVERNOR OF TARAPACÁ ANNOUNCES THE PURCHASE OF MOBILE CLINICS FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF IQUIQUE – Vilas Radio

With the objective of carrying out medical operations in the towns of the city, the Regional Governor of Tarapacá indicated that resources will be prioritized to deliver six new mobile clinics to the Municipality of Iquique, this because health money for the community has tripled. Region, in accordance with what is indicated by the authority.

Although the project has not yet been presented or discussed in the Regional Council, the governor José Miguel Carvajal was confident about the good reception that the mobile clinics will have. “We went to give the announcement to the health officials because it is one of the actions that they have been waiting for the most,” he said in conversation with Vilas Radio.

“What happens is that this election year, there may be some councilors who will try to raise some political situation, but the Governor’s power is to represent the Regional Government and administer the National Regional Development Fund, therefore, the governor’s commitments are empowered by Law,” he indicated when asked if the announcement, as it has not yet been approved, could bring with it some complex scenario.

In addition, the authority took advantage of the opportunity to clarify that if the value of the project is less than 7 thousand UTM, it is not necessary for it to be submitted to the Regional Council for a vote; however, regarding the value of the ambulances, it indicated that “it will depend on the tenders that are made”.
