WINTER CAMPAIGN

“Last year, as a preventive measure, 10 air transfers of girls and boys were carried out to other healthcare centers in the country to maintain availability of places in the event of the arrival of pediatric patients with serious complications to our hospital,” specifies the Director of the Tarapacá Health Service, who highlights the work of Bed Management of the main Tarapacan healthcare facility and all its teams before “one of the toughest winter campaigns they have faced in recent years”.

SUSPENSIONS OF SURGICAL INTERVENTIONS

Iturriaga announced that thanks to joint work with the Ministry of Health, the suspension of surgical interventions has been reduced. “If in 2021 46% of surgical interventions were suspended and 29% in 2022; Last year that figure was reduced to 25%. In addition, we increased the number of surgical interventions during business hours by 10%.”

The Seremi de Salud de Tarapacá, David Valle, highlighted the joint work to achieve important objectives, such as the opening of the Alto Hospicio Hospital and compliance with the deadlines for the start of operation of the different units of the new healthcare facility. He asserted that he maintains close contact with the teams and the director of the Tarapacá Health Service.

One of the strategic partners of the sector is the Regional Governor José Miguel Carvajal, who emphasizes that the contribution of the Regional Government during his administration goes from $1,700,000,000 million pesos per year to $4,600,000,000, which triples the annual investment destined to “Always count on the Regional Government to improve the quality of life of the Tarapaqueños.”
