The Legislature asked Figueroa to intercede for layoffs in national organizations in Neuquén

The deputies of Neuquén approved last night, along with the toll law for the routes, a resolution to ask the Executive Branch headed by Rolando Figueroa to intercede against the government of Javier Milei for the layoffs in national organizations based in the province. They listed the dismissals in Anses, National Roads, Senasa, Conicet, Enacom, Family Agriculture, in National Parks, in the delegation of Labor, Social Development, CNRT, National Radio and Télam, among others.

Resolution 1203, which came out in Thursday’s session, requests the provincial Executive Branch “to intercede with the national Executive Branch to reverse the dismissals of the personnel of national organizations based in the province.” It was sanctioned by majority, without the accompaniment of deputies Brenda Buchiniz (Cumplir-LLA) and Gisselle Stillger (Arriba Neuquén).

Lorena Parrilli (Unión por la Patria), one of the promoters of the project that was discussed in the Labor commission together with dismissed workers, accused deputy Nadia Márquez for being “the one who represents the adjustment in the province.” “The dismissals have to do with an adjustment that is endorsed and validated by whoever represents Milei in Neuquén today”he claimed.

He said that Figueroa will have the support of his space to make the claims because “the concern is not how they win an election but how the rulers leave.” «With what percentage of adhesion is Figueroa going to leave? “It is much more important than the one who brings them to the government,” he said.

The project, although it had support from the majority, generated debate regarding its forms. Parrilli defended that the text mentions Figueroa because he stated that both the Provincial and National Constitutions establish “that the governors are direct agents and intermediaries before the Nation of everything that does the fulfillment of the National Constitution.”

However, Damián Canuto (PRO) proposed changing the wording to replace it with Provincial Executive Power. “It seems to me that personalizing it for the governor is incorrect,” he said.

Parrilli replied that he had already offered this alternative in the committee debate and used a chicane: “Keep insisting, it’s very good, keep participating.”

Irony gone wrong because the entire official bloc plus the Neuquén Popular Movement opted for Canuto’s proposal and it was sanctioned without mentioning the governor.
