There are almost 50 infrastructure works spread across 21 departments of the country that will be delivered by Social Prosperity, an entity that emphasizes that they are unfinished projects of the Duque Government.

The entity invested nearly 88,000 million pesos for the completion of these works, 2 of which are located in the Atlantic, 2 in Bolívar, 5 in Cesar, one in Córdoba and another in La Guajira; 3 in Magdalena, and 3 in Sucre.

For these 49 works aimed at the most vulnerable communities, the entity allocated $87,785 million pesos, invested in $57,236 million for the construction of 26 urban roads, $11,424 million for 6 rural roads, $15,000 million for 14 housing improvement projects, $2,000 million for 1 market square and $2.12 billion for 2 social infrastructure projects composed of: Youth Development Center and sports spaces for an educational institution.

Gustavo Bolívar, director of Social Prosperity, assured that one of his main missions has been to “review those projects that had been forgotten at a high cost for our taxpayers, we are going to guarantee a dignified life for all the inhabitants of our country who need “These works, we have managed to unblock nearly 50 projects which will benefit 127,931 people.”

The other departments benefiting from these works are Antioquia, Boyacá, Caldas, Cauca, Chocó, Cundinamarca, Magdalena, Meta, Nariño, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, Santander, Tolima, Valle del Cauca and Vichada.

As indicated by the entity, 100 works have already been identified with execution problems since previous governments, it reactivated 34 of which 20 will be delivered before the end of 2024 and in parallel the agreements of the remaining 66 works will be reactivated, which will be in service of the community in the first half of 2025.

“Despite the successful management of my two predecessors, in terms of infrastructure there were still a hundred works with execution and planning problems. Since my arrival at Social Prosperity, I activated a shock plan with the aim of saving one hundred percent of these works, which were lost and forgotten, to put them at the service of the communities,” Bolívar concluded.
