After the meeting this afternoon that Governor Marcelo Orrego held with the Chief of Staff of the Nation, Guillermo Francos and whose objective was to negotiate the continuity of public works, the local government reported that through the management of the first provincial leader, it was achieved unblock key works for San Juan such as a section of Route 40 South – San Juan – Mendoza, the different stages of the Rawson Sanitation Plant, the El Tambillo Aqueduct, in Iglesia, the Third Stage of the Jáchal Sewer System and the Aqueduct Great Tulum.

In addition to the Minister of Infrastructure of the province, Fernando Perea, they were accompanied by the Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, Lisandro Catalán; Secretary of Provinces, Javier Milano; Secretary of Public Works of the Nation, Luis Giovine and Bartolomé Heredia of ENOHSA.

It should be noted that the province continues to advance with the execution of public works, which also implies the reactivation of local labor.

The works

-Route 40 South – San Juan / Mendoza”. The provincial government obtained approval from the Nation for the IDB to finance section 2, from Tres Esquinas to Cochagual, with a length of 27.4 kilometers.

-Rawson treatment plant (Cerrillo Barboza). There are three stages. It includes the construction of chambers to distribute the flow of wastewater.

-Jáchal Sewer Subsystem, 3rd Stage. Includes the expansion of the sewage treatment plant. In addition, the expansion of the collection network is contemplated to benefit an additional 5,160 inhabitants, significantly improving the region’s health infrastructure.

-Gran Tulum Aqueduct. It is designed to benefit an estimated population of 1,000,000 over the next 50 years. This initiative seeks to ensure the long-term supply of drinking water, improving water infrastructure and guaranteeing access to this essential resource for the region’s growing population.

-El Tambillo-Rodeo Aqueduct. Its objective is to benefit the communities of Bella Vista, Villa Iglesia, Las Flores, Pismanta, Tudcum and Rodeo. In total, it is expected that 8,500 inhabitants of these towns will benefit from a better supply of drinking water, contributing to the well-being and sustainable development of the region.
