The Cuban volleyball team will have a match against Germany in the Nations League that could be crucial in its aspirations to qualify for Paris 2024 via world ranking.

The team achieved an important victory with a convincing performance against Brazil in its first appearance in the National Volleyball League and got off to a good start in its quest for an Olympic ticket. Now, the fans’ attention is focused on the points they could add depending on their result against the Germans.

Against Germany, a victory is almost mandatory for the island, which is chasing Serbia on the world list, since at the moment, Cuba is tenth with 249.66, while the first have 258.23.

The Antillean team will not have it easy at all, because as indicated by colleague Jesús Muñoz, the Germans defeated us twice in 2023 (3-0 and 3-1), “but now several things seem to be different: they have a sure ticket to Paris and they will not have several stars and Cuba is a more solid team with Roberlandy Simón and Michael Sánchez.”

How many points would Cuba win if it defeats Germany? According to the official website, if they beat Germany, these would be the results in units:

3-0 gives 9.68 points

3-1 gives 7.18 points

3-2 gives 4.68 points

In the event of a defeat that would be disastrous, it would be as follows:

3-2: -5.32

3-1: -7.82

3-0: -10.32

Cuba must win its match against Germany and wait for the outcome of Serbia.
