These are the holidays and long weekends in Córdoba and Andalusia for 2025ARCHIVE

The Andalusian work calendar for 2025 includes 12 days marked in red in the almanac as non-working holidays. The Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) has already published the decree that determines the work holiday calendar of the autonomous community by 2025.

In accordance with the norm, which is part of the Workers’ Statute Law, a maximum of fourteen work holidays a year, on a paid and non-recoverable basis, of which two will be local, and national holidays such as December 25, Christmas Day, must be respected in all cases; 1 of January New Year; May 1, Labor Day; and October 12, National Holiday of Spain.

Thus, to distribute these days, there are several festivals at the national level, others at the regional level and others local. Specifically, there are eight national holidays, four regional ones, which are determined by the autonomous communities, and two local ones, marked by the city councils.

Holidays in Córdoba in 2025

To these festivities we must add the two local festivals in Córdoba capital, namely:

  • September 8 (Monday). Fuensanta Day
  • October 24 (Friday). Saint Raphael’s Day

How many bank holidays are there in 2025?

By having the holidays marked on the calendar, you can now establish how many long weekends can be enjoyed in 2025.

In total they are seven festive bridges, plus the days of rest during Holy Week. Thus, there is a long weekend on Monday, January 6, for Three Kings’ Day; on Friday, February 28, for Andalusia Day; on Friday, August 15, for the Assumption; on Monday, October 13, for Hispanic Heritage Day; and on Monday, December 8, for the Immaculate Conception.

To these we must add two bridges at the local level, for Fuensanta Day, which falls on Monday, September 8; and on Friday, October 24, San Rafael Day, a holiday in Córdoba capital.

Of course, the calendar limits the bridges to three day breakssince the order of the almanac does not allow for the creation of that macro-bridge, so desired by the workers.
