The well-known Córdoba comedian Víctor Hugo “el Rengo” Quinteros died this Friday at the age of 63 in the Villa Retiro neighborhood of Horizonte, in the city of Córdoba, according to police sources.

His wife, Adriana Robles, went to give him the medication this morning, but found her husband already fainted. The 107 emergency service confirmed the death.

Although at the moment the causes of his death have not been revealed, days ago the comedian had been hospitalized for a coronary condition and published some images of his time at the San Roque Hospital on his social networks.

Rengo Quinteros made a career based on a typically Cordoban humor that highlighted that spark that is experienced in the streets of this city. A “short and to the point” humor that exacerbated mischief and grace from everyday situations.

In the era of social media, Rengo knew how to adapt precisely with short, high-impact stories, ideal for platforms such as TikTok or YouTube Short, which he finished off with another of his hallmarks: a short and contagious laugh at the end.

Of course, in many of them it was on the verge (or over) in terms of political incorrectness for these times.

Quinteros and his life story

Several years ago, “El Rengo” He said that everything in life “cost him double or triple as much as other people.”. For example, “even making friends, because they see you as if you were from another planet. Not to mention having a girlfriend, it is as difficult for you as it is for her and I understand it (or not!).”

“When I bring people into my world, I can have thousands of problems but I forget about everything. And I have fun when people have a good time, when the audience laughs. Sometimes there are people who stop you and thank you. You made them have a nice time. I bring out the funny situations from everyday life, the comparison with the times before, with my parents for example. Most comedians today return to that,” she indicated.

In 2020, “el Rengo” did a duet with another local comedian, Marcos Ontivero. “They suggested that we get together with Víctor, we had never done it but we have a very good relationship. “I admire him a lot for how humor is his shield: the best thing about him has come out of his disability, which is humor,” Ontivero said by then to The voice.

“He is a person who makes you laugh from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, and for one as an artist it is always good to enjoy what he does,” he added.

The heartfelt farewell messages on networks

Once the news spread, there was a real avalanche of messages on the comedian’s Instagram account expressing love and pain for the loss.

“A shame, dear, lame, good for us, good for Córdoba, good return home”; “I can’t believe it… I feel like the news is not true”; “What a regrettable loss, my dear limp, I continued to shine up there giving laughter to our angels, we will miss you may you rest in peace”; “Very Happy Trip Rengo!!!…. for so many times you made us laugh!!… make the other world a little brighter!” and “I love you grandpa, I’m going to miss you all my life”, “Today there is laughter in heaven…!!! Your departure is surprising, my condolences to the family” were some of the messages left on his networks.
