Nicolás Valencia talks this week on the TERRAZA podcast with the Chilean researcher Luis Darmendrail about his book Concepción 1930, published by dostercios editorial in 2023.

Concepción 1930 is a compelling investigation into a key decade in the architectural history of the Chilean city of Concepción: the 1930s are presented as a turbulent decade, of changes and beginnings, in which culture, commerce, media and institutions are pillars of an urban life that flows alongside the narrative, giving an account of a city at the beginning of the century.

“Architecture, at the end of the day, is an open and shared book,” says Darmendrail in this interview.

TERRACE is a podcast hosted by the Chilean architect Nicolas Valenciawho talks with those who write about our cities and their protagonists in Latin America and Spain.
